The Friday concert featuring the Kattawar Brothers will set your toes tapping, put a smile on your face, and make you want to get up and move. That`s the music the Kattawar Brothers play; downhome mudbottom boogie woogie blues on piano and drums. These guys play so well that you can`t believe that much music could come from just two instruments with Jerry at the piano and Mike at drums. The Kattawar Brothers continue to keep alive the music traditions of the Deep South as well as the stories of its musicians, many of whom they have known.
On Saturday night Jacob Flores will grace the stage. Jacob, who attended Henderson State University, auditioned and advanced through preliminary rounds of NBC’s The Voice as well as Fox Network’s American Idol: Season 14. He has received many accolades and awards as he performs at various venues throughout the state of Arkansas.
For those living outside the gates of Hot Springs Village, please tell the gate attendants that you are there for the Arkansas Heritage Festival or show your concert tickets.
The festival is being held at the Ponce de Leon Center at 1101 DeSoto Blvd.
