Celebrate the spirit of love at this year’s Valentine’s Extravaganza with the enchanting theme of “It Had to Be You.” February, the quintessential month for expressing love, is illuminated by the charm of Valentine’s Day. But how can one capture the essence of love without succumbing to the clichés? Skip the pricey jewelry and the added weight of a chocolate box; instead, opt for an experience that creates beautiful memories. Altrusa of Hot Springs Village, AR, Inc. presents the third annual Valentine’s Extravaganza on Saturday, Feb. 10—a splendid opportunity to declare, “It Had to Be You,” and revel in the imperfect perfection of love.
In the realm of love and marriage, perfection is an elusive quest, and who would want their partner to be flawless anyway? Embracing differences and relishing surprises adds a captivating allure to life. As the lyrics of a cherished song proclaim, “Nobody else gave me a thrill, with all your faults I love you still.” So, reserve your spot for an exquisite three-course dinner accompanied by romantic melodies from Voices Rising and the chance to slow dance to a jazz combo.
Commencing at 5 p.m., the evening unfolds with cocktails at the Coronado Community Center, followed by a gourmet dinner meticulously catered by Melinda’s Café and Coffee. The delectable menu features a garden salad with rolls and Chicken Cordon Bleu with a choice of basil cream sauce or butternut Squash as the entrée, complemented by sides of garlic-mashed red potatoes and green beans with candied almonds. Cap off the night with a sweet touch—vanilla or chocolate Crème Brule. As a parting gift, guests will receive a small box of chocolates, ensuring the sweetness lingers.
Voices Rising has curated an entertaining evening, harmonizing with a jazz combo to inspire guests to dance to the rhythm of love songs and reminisce about cherished moments. Tickets for the Valentine’s Extravaganza are available at $60 and can be purchased at hsvticketsales.com or through any Altrusan. This event is a vital fundraiser for Altrusa of HSV, contributing to scholarships for high school seniors with a 4.0 GPA and supporting various community projects.
