Altrusa HSV makes a difference with a free hearing screening. Put this on your calendar.
Altrusa HSV celebrates Make-A-Difference Day* in a new and unique way this year. We are hosting a free walk-in hearing screening clinic on Saturday, October 28th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Faith Fellowship Church at 3216 N Hwy 7, Hot Springs Village. The screening takes about five minutes and will be administered by UAMS College of Health Professionals staff and students. Adults and children as young as two are welcome to get screened. No appointment is needed. Professional staff will be available for questions. Refreshments will be provided. Altrusa HSV is sponsoring this event because hearing aids are now available without a prescription and at an affordable price (as low as $90 per ear). The tests are for screening only, and results will be given to each participant. You will not be subject to any type of sales presentation for hearing aids.
Hearing is the perception of sound and one of the most important senses. Have you ever asked others to speak up and quit mumbling? Do you or a loved one have trouble hearing certain tones or words when others speak or watch television? If so, please make the decision to get screened. You will be glad you did.
