The Hot Springs Village Board of Directors met on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. This was the first meeting after the tornado, and there were many expressions of gratitude. Chair Joanie Corry thanked Kelly Hale, HSVPOA Staff, and First Responders, both inside and outside the Village. This report provides one place to tie in items reported separately and also reports on additional meeting subjects.

Mark Quinton motioned to add a New Business item to the agenda. The motion called for the Audit Committee to be staffed with David Moore, Corporate Treasurer, as Chair. Gary Belair and Larry Sierner also appointed to the committee. This motion carried.
Sandy Spellman was appointed to the Communications Committee with a term ending May 2026.
George Parker and Steve Korotash were appointed to the Finance and Planning Committee with terms expiring in May 2026.

Golf Department Report
The Board unanimously approved a motion for a design contract for a 7.6-mile sanitary force main between Cortez Lift Station and Cedar Creek Wastewater Plant. (See the motion below.)

Corporate Treasurer David Moore presented the Finance and Planning Committee’s Bi-annual report.
The Board unanimously approved the Commercial Rules and Regulations. This document can be found on the members section of the Explore the Village website.
Director of Golf Tom Heffer and Golf Maintenance Operations Manager Tammy Jones presented a motion to purchase work carts. The GM had previously used his $50,000 daily spending allowance to put a down payment and hold for the carts. The motion was unanimously approved. (See motion below.)
