One of eight candidates, Board Member Bob McLeod, was elected to the Hot Springs Village POA Board and seated on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, along with Chris Jones, Gary Belair, Pam Avila, and JoAnne Corry. He finished his three-year term at the culmination of the Annual Board Meeting on Wednesday, April 24.

General Manager Kelly Hale said, “Being a Board Member is not an easy thing.” We really expect a lot out of our Board Members. In the last two and a half years, we have been going through a renaissance in our community here. It hasn’t been an easy ride, and many folks have been there with me all the way. One of those is Bob McLeod.”

Hale continued, “Bob has been a good friend to me, a great Board Member, and an excellent person in this community. He is winding down his term. He is going to take time to do what he does best, which is travel around this great country of ours and take a look at things.”

Hale said he wanted to recognize Bob’s commitment to the community, to the Board and to remind everybody that he is a true friend of the Village with unwavering support, dedication, and sacrifice.”

Promising to play golf with McLeod regularly, Hale presented the retiring Board Director with a golf bag and a Resolution of Recognition and Appreciation.

McLeod said, “It’s been a wonderful ride. I have really enjoyed being on the Board of Directors and learned one heck of a lot about the Village. There is a lot more to it than almost everybody thinks.”

Hale said Bob told him he was headed to Alabama.

We thank Bob McCleod for his three years of dedication and hard work on behalf of Hot Springs Village and wish him the best in all his future endeavors.
