Hot Springs Village Coronado Baptist Church is hosting a noteworthy Regional Patriots Day Observance, on Sunday, September 10, at 6:00 p.m. The evening event will feature esteemed guest speaker Rear Admiral (ret) Endel Lee.

First responders, veterans, and their families will be honored, and the Color Guard will be present. The evening’s musical talents will include combined choirs, resonating a beautiful music medley, and featuring Premier Sound’s outstanding talents.

Afterward, mingle with the community and guests at the free reception.

A little about Rear Admiral (ret) Endel Lee

In an article about Rear Admiral (ret) Endel Lee, “America’s Navy said,

“Rear Admiral Endel Lee is a native of Tanner Williams, Alabama. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mobile (1985). He then earned a Master of Divinity (1990), Master of Religious Education (1998) and Doctor of Philosophy degree (2000) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Lee was commissioned in the Navy Reserve in 1993, after serving eleven years in the Marine Corps Reserve, both as an enlisted member and as an officer.”

“Upon joining the Marine Corps in 1982, Lee served with 3rd Force Reconnaissance Company, 14th Marines Artillery units, and two tours with the 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, one as executive officer, A Company, and one as commanding officer, C Company.

A little about Coronado Baptist Church

Eighty-one members of Balboa Baptist Church held the first Coronado mission service at Coronado Community Center. Coronado was organized into a church in April of 2006, with a groundbreaking for the church. Sowell and Russell of Conway, Arkansas were architects, and Cone Brothers of Conway was the general contractor. Construction was finished in September 2013.

Dr. Dennis Phelps serves as the Pastor of Coronado Baptist Church and the Minister of Music is Keith Merritt.
