Annual Elton Taylor, Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament at HSV Balboa Course

Area Chapter of National Fraternity Hosts 2023 Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament in Memory of HSV Resident at Balboa Golf Course

The Hot Springs, Arkadelphia, & Malvern AR Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is hosting its Annual Elton Taylor, Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament at the Hot Springs Village Balboa Golf Course on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Tee time is 8:00 a.m.

This tournament allows the organization to invest in its area communities and continue the legacy of its distinguished founders. A portion of the proceeds will be used to award Kappa Alpha Psi H.A.M. Alumni Scholarships to graduating students within the Hot Springs, Arkadelphia, and Malvern areas.

Three years ago, the tournament was renamed in honor of Elton Taylor, Sr., a long-time property owner in HSV since 2002. He permanently made the Village his home in 2015 and sadly passed away in 2019. He loved The Village and joined the HSV Kiwanis during his short-lived stay. An avid golfer, Elton took great pleasure in helping to organize the Coronado Neighborhood’s Annual Golf Tournament and Fellowship as well as this tournament in the years before his transition. His wife, Virginia, and youngest son, Elton, Jr., remain HSV residents.

Tournament registration is $100.00 per golfer, and sponsorship opportunities are available for partners to invest in community youth jointly. Registration forms and sponsor information are available at the Balboa Golf Course’s Pro Shop. The HSV Gazette is also providing a printable entry form for immediate download.
