At the July 20, 2022 Board Meeting, CEO Gary Troutman and Vice President Vickie Gilliam, both of the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, presented an award to HSVPOA Chair, Joanie Corry, in appreciation of the partnership between the Village and the Hot Springs Chamber.
Troutman said, “The Hot Springs Metro Partnership is the economic development arm of the Hot Springs Chamber and we’ve had a valued and long-standing relationship with the Village POA going back years with General Arwood and now we’re excited to be working with General Lofgren and of course Kelly [Hale] and Kevin Sexton [HSVPOA Director of Tourism and Community Affairs].”
“The Village POA is a very valued member of our Metro Partnership Team – has been for years.”
“The thing that we’re really excited about is the relationship we’ve been anticipating for years, as have you, with the bypass extension. We were all a little bit disappointed that didn’t get done in the spring as scheduled, but we look forward to hopefully in November. We’ve had meetings with Paul Sage [HSVPOA Marketing Manager] and your [advertising] agency, the Sells Agency in Little Rock. We look forward to a closer relationship – certainly more synergy between the Village and Hot Springs.
Troutman expressed that many good things will come in the future.
Troutman said his son-in-law recently relocated to Arkansas from Texas and is employed in the Hot Springs Village Lakes Division and he is thankful he no longer has the long drive once a month to visit the family.
