General Manager Ken Unger of the Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association announced the 2025 Board of Directors candidates during the January 15, 2025 Board Meeting. Three three-year terms will become vacant, with the seats of Bruce Caverly, Joanie Corry, and Mark Quinton up for election.

Who’s vying for a spot?

“The POA Board of Directors has received applications and the necessary accompanying documentation from eight Hot Springs Village property owners who have chosen to run for the three available seats on the Board of Directors. They have been properly vetted as members in good standing and accepted as legitimate candidates.”

Key dates to note

  • Friday, February 21 – Ballots, letter, resumes, and return envelopes mailed to all Association members in good standing as of February 7.
  • Wednesday, March 26 – Deadline for ballots to be returned to a third-party election service to be stored and counted. (Property Owners will probably be able to vote online – or at least that is what transpired over the past few years.)
  • Friday, March 28 – Election winners announced
  • Tuesday, April 1 – Deadline for any member in good standing to request a recount by 4:00 p.m. The requesting member must prepay the cost of the recount to an external firm. If the recount changes the election outcome, the member will be reimbursed for all fees.
  • Date to be determined – New Board Member orientation to review POA budget, governing documents and calendar.
  • Wednesday, April 16 – Newly elected Board Members are to be seated at a Special Meeting following the adjournment of the Regular Board Meeting.
  • Date to be determined – Board Retreat
