Colt and the Old 45’s is an 11-member band comprised of first-rate musicians (including an impressive horn section) and singers who share a passion for the great music of the 60s and early 70s. “It’s like having The Four Seasons, Drifters, Diamonds, Lou Christie, Jay, and The Americans, Righteous Brothers, Chuck Berry, The Brooklyn Bridge and all the others on stage for one fabulous show. They really energize the crowd, and when they’re on stage, just TRY and not get up and dance…great vocals and tight musicianship,” is the way Larry Dixon of Platinum 96.7 KPMZ radio described their performance. The show is at the Coronado Community Center and tickets are $30 each. Click here to buy tickets.

Balboa Yacht Club Lighted Boat Parade – Sunday, July 3, 2022 – 8:00 PM

The parade will be on July 3, 2022, from 8-10 PM on Lake Balboa. We begin gathering around 7:30 by the spillway. Anyone and everyone are invited to participate in the parade, you do not have to be a member of the Balboa Yacht Club. Just show up with your decorated boat.

We make every effort to go into every cove. We ask that all shore liners who want to see the parade leave their porch lights, or exterior lights on. When we see lights we know they want the parade to come by. We had many people out on their docks and decks with flashlights last year waving us on. If we stop seeing any lights in a cove then we usually start making our way back out.

Please tell your neighbors about the parade, this is definitely an event that we would like all of Lake Balboa to be able to enjoy it. Last year we had 65 lighted boats participate and we are hoping for even more this year! Sponsored by the Balboa Yacht Club. For additional information contact Stacey Lloyd at staceyrlloyd@aol.com
