Latest update on Dam to Dam Hike 5-17-23 – Due to the severe weather last week, the Trail System sustained a great deal of washout as well as damage across many facilities and streets, etc. Unfortunately, this is causing us to cancel this year’s Dam to Dam Hike on Saturday, May 20th. Mark your calendar and join the HSV Trails Committee and the Parks and Recreation Department at the Annual Dam to Dam Hike on Friday, April 21, 2023. There are two options, a ten-mile and a five-mile hike.
The ten-mile hike begins at 9:00 AM at the Balboa Beach Trail Head, ending at DeSoto Beach. The five-mile hike starts at Grove Park and also ends at DeSoto Beach.
After the hike, there is a celebration at DeSoto Beach (26 Seville Lane) featuring a musical performance by Mike Bearden from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Food will be available for cash-only purchase. ✱
