HSV MAKE-A-WISH RECEIVES SPECIAL DONATION

February 7, 2025, Hot Springs Village, AR – The HSV Make-A-Wish Team recently received a generous donation of $480 raised by Village True Value during their December Sponsor RoundUp program. This donation was made possible by the generosity of True Value customers, who rounded up their purchases throughout December.

The HSV Make-A-Wish Team is dedicated to raising funds to fulfill the wishes of local critically ill children. Their primary fundraiser for this year will be the HSV Night of Wishes on April 25, 2025. This event will feature dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. Attendees will also hear heartfelt stories from local wish recipients, including the 2024 HSV Wish Kid, Asher.

Melanie Pederson of the HSV Make-A-Wish Team expressed her gratitude: “We are so grateful for the efforts of organizations such as Village True Value in supporting local charities like ours. The Village is fortunate to have people like Matt Burr, True Value General Manager, and his team making a difference in our community.”

Established in 1986, the Mid-South chapter of Make-A-Wish granted 284 wishes in the region last year. These wishes, born from the hearts of critically ill children, have included experiences like swimming with dolphins, attending a Dallas Cowboys football game, having a bedroom makeover, and creating a fireman-themed playroom. Local wish kid Kaesen wished for a BMX bike, while Cannon wished to meet the Green Bay Packers. Our 2024 HSV Wish Kid, Asher, will be going to Disney World at the end of March and we get to hear about his Wish Journey at the HSV Night of Wishes. Wishes made… Wishes granted.
