2023 Year-to-date permitting statistics compared to 2022
At the May 18, 2023 Architectural Control Committee meeting, Ginger George, Contracts and Development Supervisor, shared the latest data for permitting and inspections.
2023 YTD inspections completed are 1,725 compared to 1,230 in 2022 for the same period.
Small Permits – 807 YTD compared to 689 in 2022.
New Homes under construction are down, with 26 permits in 2023 compared to 47 in 2022. “This is the lowest number of new homes under construction since I have been in the department,” stated George.

13 Laguna Way – 15′ x 18′ Addition on the back of the house – Permit approved.
87 Mandarin Drive – Fence – Permit approved.
5 San Jose Lane – Landscape – According to the homeowner, who also owns the undeveloped lot to the right of the house, gravel was installed on approximately half of the unimproved lot for drainage purposes. According to the committee, there appears to be a gravel road and parking on this undeveloped lot. Permit was approved with variance and the stipulation that no parking is allowed on the gravel.
110 Ponderosa Lane – Business Sign – Strip mall business opposite Dolce Vita. Two signs were requested for approval – flag/feather sign and a sandwich board sign. Flag/feather sign denied. The sandwich board sign is approved only if it is okay with the Board of Directors. George will check to ensure the Board is okay with ACC approving signs.
4 Jilguero Lane – Swimming Pool – This home is still under construction. Permit approved.

61 Sergio Way – Landscape – Unbuilt house – Concrete and retaining wall around the pool. Permit approved.
16 Belleza Way – Fence to hide trash can – Permit approved.
1 Bosque Place – Fence – Approved on the condition that Public Services signs off because of the grinder tank.
65 Manzanares Drive – Deck – Roof over existing deck. Permit approved.
20 Piocha Lane – Remodel the front porch and back decks. Permit approved.
57 Alteza Drive – Landscape – Permit approved.
1 Sabiote Way – Shed – Permit approved.
6 Sandez Lane – Landscape – Permit approved.
6 Hablar Lane – Extend the sidewalk to improve drainage. Permit approved pending approval from CCI.
26 Delgado Lane – Landscape – Early start before approval. Permit approved.
26 Delgado Lane – Existing unpermitted patio – Per the neighbor, the patio causes drainage issues with his crawl space. Needs evaluation for a French drain to keep water off of the neighbor. Permit approved with mitigation of drainage issues.
13 Avellano Lane – Swimming Pool and Landscaping – This was previously submitted and updated details are now on file. Permit approved.
Small permits denied
46 Heusca Way – Shed – Permit denied. – Resubmit with more information.
5 San Jose Lane – Fence – Owns lot on both sides of residential property and backs up to the edge of the village. There is a hog wire fence in the backyard that needs to be removed, according to the committee. This fence was not there five years ago. The existing deck is also not permitted. Compliance needs to review this property. Permit denied.
46 Heusca Way – Shed placed in the side yard – needs to be resubmitted with more information. Permit denied.
