HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, AR, January 21, 2025 – The Hot Springs Village Police Department is pleased to announce a new partnership with Life Safety Security (LSS) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, to provide enhanced gate security services for our community.
Effective March 4, 2025, LSS will assume responsibility for security operations at both the East and West gates of Hot Springs Village. This strategic collaboration aims to elevate our community’s safety standards while maintaining the welcoming atmosphere our residents and visitors have come to expect.
Key highlights of this partnership include:
- Retention of familiar security personnel to ensure continuity of service
- Implementation of advanced training programs exceeding state certification requirements
- Enhanced focus on customer service and community representation
- Comprehensive instruction in lifesaving first aid techniques

Residents and visitors can expect to see the new security measures in place starting March 4, The Hot Springs Village Police Department and LSS are working closely to ensure a smooth transition and maintain uninterrupted security services.

I volunteered at the East Gate for seven years. We had paid Public Relations Officers’ (PRO’S) but the volunteers supplemented them and added to the safety. One day, we were told that we were no longer needed. That was it……….No thank you for your service, No kiss my ass or anything. I enjoyed volunteering there, and since I live so close to the East Gate, I was called many times., in addition to my regular hours, to come over when someone did not show up. There was nothing that the PRO did that I could not handle. We were a very effecient crew, and a lot cheaper than what we got in exchange for us. I am sure the people at the gates are costing the Village a lot more than volunteers got. In addition to that, we were not given any other compensation for volunteering, other than a picnic in the spring.
What “new security measures” are they taking?
