Learn more about Village SCAT at the Open House on Saturday, September 21!
Are you interested in making a difference in someone’s life? Driving in HSV can be a challenge and there are many residents that are unable to drive. Village SCAT is a low-cost transportation service that helps these residents get to medical appointments, grocery shopping, salons, and other important destinations within the surrounding area.
Since Village SCAT started providing low-cost rides to Village residents we have been blessed with over 100 volunteers that have willingly dedicated time each month to driving and scheduling riders. These individuals have been the core of the operation and have truly made a difference in the Village. Many of our current volunteers have been with us since the first van hit the road.
Visit our operation and meet the volunteers, see the office and vans. Learn how you can be of service to the community, meet fun and interesting residents, be part of a great team, and receive unlimited appreciation from the customers we serve. Your help is needed and wanted.
The time commitment is 8 – 12 hours a month and you pick your schedule. We are flexible because we know Villagers travel, have family commitments, and are very active.
Put it on your calendar: Saturday, September 21, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Village SCAT office, 198 Carmona Rd. (next to Debra’s Restaurant). Refreshments will be served.
