HSV Wish Team Makes Wishes Come True – You Can Help!

Wishes do come true! Since 1980, Make-A-Wish has been granting wishes for children who are diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Granting a child’s wish makes an impact not only on the child but also their families, friends, donors, sponsors, and sometimes even entire communities like Hot Springs Village!

We all have the power to help make wishes come true. A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, more willing, and able to battle their critical medical illness conditions. You can help us raise money to grant more wishes for children in HSV and surrounding communities.

The HSV Wish Team hosts two fundraisers a year to raise money to sponsor a local child’s wish. The first fundraiser is a drive-thru where members of the HSV Wish Team and volunteers from HSV Rotary, Trademark HSV Real Estate and Altrusa stood at designated gates on Friday, September 13 th from 9 am to 2 pm with big blue buckets to give Villagers a chance to donate.

The second fundraiser is the HSV Night of Wishes. This special evening will be held on Friday, November 8th at the Coronado Community Center from 5 pm to 9:30 pm. Come join us for food, great music, dancing, a silent/live auction and most importantly, to hear from our Wish Families. Between these two events, our goal is to raise enough money to sponsor another local child’s wish next year.

Last year we raised enough money to sponsor a wish! On Sunday, September 29th Hot Springs Village and representatives from Make-A-Wish Mid-South will celebrate an incredibly special child, Asher, who has shown incredible strength, courage, and hope. Asher’s wish is to go to Disney World in Florida with his family, a wish that will bring joy, excitement, and a spark of magic to all of them. The celebration will take place at Balboa Beach under the blue shades so he can enjoy the beach and park area between 1 pm and 3 pm. Members of HSV are invited to drive by and wave to Asher and his family. Members of the POA, HSV Police, Lifenet and HSV Fire will also be there to honor Asher. This celebration is not just about making a wish come true, but about celebrating Asher’s journey, his resilience, and the bright future ahead of him.
