On April 9, 2024, Hot Springs Village Property Owners Jeffery Atkins and Dennis Simpson filed a legal Complaint against the Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association. Here is a link to the article.

The Hot Springs Village POA Board of Directors emailed a statement to the community on April 11. This is what their statement says:

“The Board would like to share with HSV residents our concern about the use of social media posts regarding a lawsuit that we believe names the Property Owners Association as the defendant. To date, neither the Board nor POA management have been served any papers indicating a pending lawsuit.

“The instigators of this lawsuit have chosen to actively use social media to publicize the lawsuit. We understand that these same individuals reached out via email to a number of POA managers in which they state they wanted to continue to engage with the managers for on-line interviews and communication. Unfortunately, communication with these Plaintiffs must be curtailed as there is now pending litigation. It is further disturbing that these same HSV residents would choose to seek legal action that impacts each and every one of us – since the “POA” consists of every property owner and/or resident of Hot Springs Village.

“As already noted, the Board and POA management have not yet been “served” but we are receiving emails and phone calls from residents wanting more information. We don’t have that information currently and only know what we – like you – can read on social media. However, response from residents has been swift. Noted one concerned citizen, “I’m shocked! Actually I was both hurt and angry at the same time. I could not believe my eyes in what I read against the POA. Please let me know what my husband and I can do to help and support you? “

“As relevant information becomes available, the Board will again communicate with our Hot Springs Village residents and neighbors. Although we still don’t have actual details, only what appears on social media, we believe the lawsuit is without merit. We intend to vigorously defend these meritless claims and continue to protect all property owners’ rights and interests.”
