Every April, the Kiwanis Club of Hot Springs Village holds its annual BBQ dinner fundraiser. April 6th happens to be the date for the dinner, and this year, it occurs on the “Total Solar Eclipse” weekend.

For over 35 years, the Kiwanis BBQ dinner has been one of three major fundraisers conducted by the club. The other two are the BratFest dinner in October and the Golf Tournament in September. The dinner will be at the Coronado Community Center on Saturday, April 6th, and will be open from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. Tickets are available from any Kiwanis member. Contact the club by email at hsvkiwanis@yahoo.com. Tickets will be available at the door until they’re sold out. We’re expecting a large turnout since it’s “Eclipse” weekend, so don’t wait until the last minute.

Kiwanis is one of many service organizations in Hot Springs Village. The Kiwanis Club of Hot Springs Village was the first Kiwanis club in the Village. Along with numerous community involvement activities and financial contributions, the club has student clubs in both Jessieville and Mountain Pine schools.

At the fundraiser dinners, one of the student clubs always sells ice cream as their own fundraiser. This year is no different, as Mountain Pine Builders Club will have ice cream sales.

“Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child, and one community at a time.” Check our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/kiwanis.hsv.7
