Saline County Judge Verbally Declares Disaster Emergency Proclamation for Overnight Storms in Hot Springs Village.

Saline County, AR- Saline County Judge Matt Brumley has verbally declared a Disaster Emergency Proclamation as of Friday, March 15, 2024.

Hot Springs Village in Saline & Garland Counties received significant damage from last night’s storm. Urban search and rescue teams are finishing up their efforts in Hot Springs Village. Additionally, the Saline County Office of Emergency Management is working alongside the Garland County Department of Emergency Management and Arkansas Division of Emergency Management on a damage assessment.

Per ACA 12-75-103 Saline County will be entitled to aid relief, assistance with the Disaster Emergency Proclamation.

Once the Disaster Declaration is signed, it will be posted to the Saline County website at www.salinecounty.org

Garland County

I contacted the office of Garland County Judge Darryl Mahoney to determine if Garland County would also make the same proclamation. I was told that the judge had not made it to his office today, as he had been on-site in the village all day to assess the situation.
