ijtech USA, LLC provides Hot Springs Village demonstration of Spiraline X culvert rehabilitation system
On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, the Hot Springs Village Public Services Director Ken Unger and Committee, attended a demonstration of a new culvert rehabilitation system. Spiraline X was installed in two 37-foot, 30-inch corrugated steel pipes on the east side of the Village. The bottom of the steel pipes was starting to rust out. Other outside entities were also invited to attend this product demonstration.
According to the company, “ijtech USA, LLC, a specialty lining company based out of Central Arkansas, has recently brought to market a new technology, Spiraline X. Spiraline X is a trenchless pipe rehabilitation technology, providing a fully structural rehabilitation by winding a uPVC profile within existing storm or sanitary sewer systems.”
This technology, originally developed in Australia, allows for quick culvert rehabilitation without tearing up the roads and major traffic flow disruption and is comparable in price to other methods of culvert lining restoration. This product provides a performance level exceeding highway requirements.
“This is probably a better solution than resin lining. We did this to see how it goes, and we have spots in the Village that I think will work well, such as in dam outlet pipes in need of repair,” stated Unger.

This is AMAZING! There is a section about 3/4 of the way though the video where the new culvert emerges from the old one while traffic continues to drive on the road overhead. No need to tear up the road!
Thank you for commenting. P.S. Director Ken Unger and General Manager Kelly Hale are definitely thinking outside the box.
