Thank You, Hot Springs Village, for your help supporting our fellow community members/businesses who were affected by the January 13th fire. ALL PROCEEDS from these fundraising efforts will be distributed equally among these businesses. Please share this post on your personal Facebook page, if you’d be willing to help us publicize this event. Scroll down at the bottom of this article for available sharing options.

So many of you have called, emailed, or posted to ask what you can do to join this effort… and here are the answers.

Fundraising Event

On February  25th, we will be having a terrific evening of dinner and dancing with live music by Feeling Groovy and Ziggy and Friends at the Coronado Community Center. There will also be a Silent Auction and Bake Sale, as well as To Go Dinners available at the event for those who can’t attend. This is our chance, as the phenomenal altruistic community we are, to come together and give back to these much-loved folks who have brought so much to our hometown. Your friends and neighbors who were affected by this devastating fire that displaced them all will be at the event in person so you can show your love to them personally. Your presence, hugs, and expressions of concern (and maybe a donation) are what is needed – so come be a part in whatever way you can.

YES, tickets are still available at Hotspringsvillage.thundertix.com (despite erroneous rumors to the contrary). Please come join us at this event and show your love! Tickets are available here.

Auction

There will be a plethora of incredible auction items available at a Silent Auction at the event. More donations from this community than you can imagine and we will be posting information about some very special and unique offerings in the coming days. So join our Facebook page and stay tuned! Our page is called, It Takes a Village Northpark Plaza Fire Fundraiser. See pics for more info and look for the descriptions and photographs of some of our F.A.B.U.L.O.U S. auction treasures! Donations

For those who cannot participate in these events but still want to help with donations, listed below are the established business owners affected who have welcomed your assistance. As we all know, it can take months or even years for any proceeds from insurance claims to be forthcoming. In the meantime, these businesses are owned by people for whom these losses take away the sole source of income for themselves and their families – and they are scrambling to find new locations to house their businesses and replace the needed supplies, inventory, and equipment lost in the fire… all of which takes money now.

Please Note: In the first couple of days after the fire, a small number of cash donations were turned in at one of our local businesses (which have already been logged in), but the Fundraising Committee has decided going forward not to accept CASH donations on behalf of the recipients because of the profound regulatory requirements that would entail. However, if you would like to make a CASH (or any other type) donation personally, please approach these business owners directly via the contact information provided.

Preorder To Go Dinners by calling Kimberly Pitts @ 901-618-9427. Minimum $25 donation for each dinner. Pick up Saturday the 25th at Coronado Community Center between 4-5 PM.
