With the weather playing spoilsport lately and our tennis cravings left unfulfilled, Laura Hedgpeth’s ingenious idea to host a social event at The Beehive couldn’t have come at a better time. And did we show up? Oh, you bet we did! It turned out to be an evening filled with laughter and camaraderie.
The generosity of The Beehive in hosting us was matched only by the enthusiastic turnout from our tennis community.
Thanks to the hard work of our dedicated board members, we raised funds for future social activities, ensuring that our upcoming events will be even more memorable.
A huge shoutout goes to our sponsors, whose support truly made the night special. From the Wisconsin Cheese and Insurance Option to Bob Wagstaff, and not forgetting our health coach Dominique and generous donor Sharon Cherrnay, who contributed a tennis racket, each sponsor played a vital role in making the event a success. These were just some of our many generous sponsors who made the evening possible.
Special mention must be made of HSV Day Spa, owned by Nicole De La Cruz, and Village Hearing Clinic, owned by Marilyn Phalen, whose donations added an extra touch of luxury and comfort to the evening.
But the excitement doesn’t end there. Our new board is gearing up for an action-packed year filled with fun events. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner looking to dip your toes into the world of tennis, there’s something for everyone. Keep an eye on our Facebook page, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas Tennis Association, for updates on upcoming events.
For those looking to get started with tennis, our Tennis Ambassador program is the perfect opportunity to dive in headfirst. And if you’re just looking to brush up on your skills, our free-for-all sessions in March are not to be missed. Looking ahead, we have single tournaments in April, a doubles tournament in May, and plenty of fun Sunday events throughout the year.
So why not dust off your racket, lace up your sneakers, and join us for an unforgettable experience on the courts? Whether you’re looking for a social outlet, a chance to make new friends, or simply a way to stay active, our tennis community welcomes you with open arms. See you on the courts!
