Katy Harmon, Hot Springs Village POA Lakes Supervisor, wants everyone to have an enjoyable but safe time viewing the Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024. Harmon said, “All State and Federal Boating Regulations apply to all HSV POA Lakes.”
- All Property Owners are required to purchase and display an annual lake use decal on all boats (powered or unpowered) and trailers used on HSV Lakes.
- Any lake user that does not have an annual lake use decal for any powered or unpowered boat is required to purchase a daily lake use permit, available at each boat ramp or the HSVPOA Administrative office. A 7-day lake use permit is available at the HSVPOA Administrative office for extended temporary lake users.
- Please be mindful of other boaters and/or trailers. Do not block any boat ramp or access into a parking lot.
- No unattached boats or trailers are allowed at the launch or parking areas.
- It is unlawful to anchor or tie off to any navigational marker. Please DO NOT anchor or tie off to the buoys.
- Anchor away from busy boating channels. Please do not tie off to any boat docks or fishing piers.
- Ensure all navigational lights are properly working on your boat.
- If cell phone service is unavailable, make sure that your boat is equipped with a type of Visual Distress Device.
- Dress for the water temperature, not the air temperature! Wear your life jacket!
- Protect your eyes.
