Creating quite a buzz, Hot Springs Village is about to get a whole lot tastier and livelier with the re-opening of the Beehive; combining a welcoming atmosphere, deliciously unique bar-style cuisine, and a heartwarming focus on community, The Beehive promises to be one of your new favorite hangout spots.

Behind the Buzz: Meet the Owner

Alonso Saavedra is the new owner behind The Beehive. A passionate culinary entrepreneur who started in the industry at 17, he has been honing his craft ever since. While juggling his hospitality, tourism, and business administration studies at National Park College, he’s pouring his heart into creating a space where locals can gather, celebrate, and savor great food.

Alonso’s Journey – how he got here

Originally from South Texas, Alonso has lived in Hot Springs Village for two years and spent a decade in Hot Springs. He has a culinary background and is pursuing higher education in hospitality and business administration at National Park College.

A discussion with a community businesswoman led to him taking over the restaurant. Driven by a desire for change and a passion for creating something special, Alonso saw the Beehive as the perfect opportunity to bring vibrant and meaningful experiences to the Hot Springs Village community after his previous restaurant managerial role. Influenced by his mother’s hard work ethic and devotion to community service, he will continue traditions that the Beehive has become known for and institute some of his own.

A swarm of activity

The Beehive is whirring with the excitement of preparation under the dynamic leadership of its new owner! This industrious entrepreneur has thrown himself into the hive of activity needed to bring the restaurant back to life. With tireless dedication, Alonso has been crafting a delectable menu, meticulously cleaning and organizing, and making savvy decisions that promise to elevate the Beehive to new heights. Every day is a flurry of creativity and hard work as Alonso’s vision for a vibrant and welcoming dining experience takes shape. Get ready to be enchanted by the magic of the Beehive!

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming to the village!
