Committee Members present at the April 18, 2024, Architectural Control Committee Meeting were Larry Brocaw (Chair); Brian Whitehead (Vice-chair); Lanny Beavers; Clint Blackman III: John Hyduke; Jared Robinson; Mark Quinton, BOD Liaison. Five new home permits were approved.
Staff present were Matt Broom, Associate Director of Public Services; Beverly Ellison, Supervisor Permitting and Inspections; Ginger George, Contracts and Development Supervisor; and Tom Benfield, Community Support Manager.
Alissa Hastings of REstructure Design, Marilyn Farley, Danny Stephens, Community Support Officer, and Chris San Filippo, Community Support Officer were guests at the meeting.
Staff and Board Liaison Report
- Broom is stepping down as the ACC Committee’s staff liaison, and George will fill the spot. Broom said his position as Committee Liaison was never meant to be a long-term solution, and he cannot dedicate the time needed.
- Broom showed the committee a revised Small Permitting MOP (method of procedure).
- Quinton reported that staff is moving a lot of debris from the tornado. Broom said they move around 50 loads of debris every day.
- The culvert rehabilitation project was approved after the Wednesday, April 17 Board Meeting.
- Two new Board Members were seated at the Wednesday, April 17 Board Meeting and Quinton started his second term.
Small Permits
1 Ornado Lane – Landscaping – Permit approved.
2 Magnifico Way – Other Parking – The Property owner said her parking spot was an established driveway with a culvert. She has lived at the home for three years, and until now, no one has said she isn’t allowed to park there. The permit was denied. Park in the driveway only.
3 Teruel Circle – Deck – Permit approved.
30 Acambaro Place – Shed – The original location was approved after a second site visit. Permit approved.
3 Paraiso Lane – Exterior Paint – The Property Owners want to paint the garage door, shutters, and porch ceiling black. Permit approved.
4 Paraiso Lane – Propane – replace four tanks with a larger tank and will screen. Permit approved.
23 Arias Way – Exterior Paint – Permit approved.
31 Sierra Drive – Temporary Fencing – This is a rental. When they move out, the renters will restore the property to its original condition. Permit approved.
7 Alhaja Way – Room Addition – Concept approved. Better drawings are needed that show the finished project and the roof color.
33 Pacifica Circle – Existing Wooden Bridge over a creek in the backyard. Permit approved.
64 Panorama Drive – Swim Dock – Permit approved.
73 Sergio Way – New Construction Landscaping – Permit approved.
404 Maderas Drive – Landscaping and parking golf cart trailer off adjacent lot he owns – Permit withdrawn by owner.
7 Adoracion Place – Fencing and Screening – Permit approved at 4′ tall.
7 Adoracion Place – New Build Landscaping – Permit approved. Gate not to interfere with grinder tank and remove dead trees.
11 Ontur Lane – Deck – Patio Cover Revised – Concept approved. Need drawings showing finished project and color of roof.
