There is still time to register for your Village Walk for Cancer Research’s next DocTalk, Friday, June 14, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Diamante Country Club. You won’t want to miss hearing UAMS’ Dr. Michael Birrer present recent advancements in cancer research and treatment. Included will be an overview of the proton therapy center at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.

If you are new to the Village, have never participated in our Cancer Walk, or are one of our treasured walkers, you won’t want to miss this event. Dr. Birrer is an inspirational speaker, and you will come away encouraged by what UAMS’ research and treatments are accomplishing. And you will be part of the fellowship for which our DocTalks are famous!

The event is free of charge. A light luncheon, compliments of ReMax of Hot Springs Village, will be served. So we can get an accurate count for food service, please register by visiting our website, www.walkforcancerresearch.org, clicking on EVENTS, and following the easy registration instructions. Or, if you prefer, call event coordinator Melanie Pederson at (608) 692-0458.
