HSV Gazette wants to help you get the word out!
What to send
- In the interest of saving you time, you may wish to send a proposal for a post before actually submitting your post. This will give you an idea of whether we will publish your work.
- You don’t have to be a professional writer to submit an article. We know not everyone is comfortable with writing, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to express yourself professionally. We can help you with grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and spelling. We want your article to be professional. This makes both of us look better.
- Posts should be a minimum of 300 words of original content. There is no maximum word count requirement.
- We appreciate you sending us at least three good-quality landscape images to accompany your post. The images should be separate from the article, have the appropriate file name (if possible), and include captions. This helps us label your images correctly. If you want an image placed in a certain location in the article, you may indicate that. We do not refuse submissions without images, but they make your post more attractive.
- It helps to break up your text with headers to make your article easier to read. We can help with this if you like.
- Your article may include up to two links to your blog or a relevant blog post.
- All submissions should contain text. We can no longer publish only flyers, posters, or images without an accompanying article. Text on your flyer does not count as text in the article.
