HSV Players White Christmas tickets selling like crazy
Ticket sales for the November 16 -19 HSV Players production of White Christmas sales have already topped 600 and are climbing daily. True to form, the HSV Players White Christmas production promises to be another hit by the multi-talented group.
Many of us grew up watching White Christmas as one of the annual holiday presentations. Originally released in 1954, White Christmas starred Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen and featured 17 songs by Irving Berlin. The film set a new record as Hollywood’s all-time highest-grossing musical. It’s a sentimental favorite – a successful song-and-dance team becomes romantically involved with a sister act and teams up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general.
The same crew who brought the successful Wizard of Oz to the Woodlands Stage is teaming up again for White Christmas. Sam Sacco, president of the Players, is directing, and Damon Schleuse is the producer. Musical direction is by Lynne Borders-Koon, assisted by Craig Welle as choral director.
The play is truly a community affair, with special appearances by the Village Chorale, the Spa City Tappers, and military veterans from the Village and surrounding area.
While White Christmas is debuting at the HSV Woodlands Auditorium on Thursday, November 16, you also have a choice of Friday, November 17, Saturday, November 18, and a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday, November 19. The curtain opens at 7:00 p.m. for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances.

Playing with the Players
Promoting quality amateur theatrical performances in the Village for over 25 years, the Players have over 120 talented members and produced over 140 plays and musicals.
Always looking to expand their ranks with gifted individuals, the Players welcome everyone to their meetings at the Ouachita Room at the Ponce de Leon Center. Meetings are on the third Tuesday of even-numbered months (February, April, June, etc.) with a social at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting commencing at 6:30 p.m. If this sounds like fun to you, come check it out.
