4:30 pm Status Report

ATTENTION VILLAGERS!

Cold is Biggest Concern

Another update from the POA emergency operations team….. Our biggest concern remains the severe cold, which will continue for at least several days.

Do NOT Walk on Frozen Lakes and Ponds – It is DANGEROUS!

First, an important “heads up” – PLEASE do not walk out onto the frozen lakes and ponds. It is extremely dangerous – although some people are doing it!

Sanitation/Trash Update

Now for some GOOD NEWS! The POA will be running Sanitation tomorrow starting at 10:00 am. They will begin with the normal Monday route and get as many homes along the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday routes as they can by working through Saturday. It is not guaranteed that they will be able to reach every street within the Village but they will do their best over the next three days. If you can wait until next week, please do not put your can out for collection now. We will resume our normal collection schedule on Monday.

Hot Springs Village POA Winter Weather Update January 17, 2024

Please continue to stay home if possible

Please continue to stay home if possible. The increase in traffic has led to a significant increase in vehicle accidents. Though snow is melting, conditions are still very poor, with ice becoming more of a factor. The POA’s limited resources are being pulled away from plowing and sanding to assist with the accidents.

Road Closures

Note the following roads are still closed and will remain so until further notice: Balearic Road from Coronado Drive to Reata Way, Barcelona Road between Tomino Way and Villano Lane, and Fresno Road between Alicante Road and Carmona Road.

Hours of Operation and POA Closures

The POA main office is open on its regular schedule (8 am – 4:30 pm). The Coronado Fitness Center will also resume its normal schedule beginning tomorrow. All golf courses will remain closed Thursday and Friday. After that, check with the Tee Times office or the website. The Tennis complex remains closed. The Pickleball clubhouse continues to be closed. Court access will be available to annual members with key entry.

ACC Will NOT Meet Tomorrow (01-18-24) at 8:30

Due to icy conditions forecasted for Thursday morning, the Architectural Control Committee will not meet tomorrow at 8:30 am. The new meeting time will be announced once it is rescheduled.

Restaurants

Non-emergency Issues

For any non-emergency issues, please reach out to Public Services via the form provided online. The emails from this form go to every Public Services superintendent plus Matt Broom and Ken Unger. It also creates a record for PS to track what’s happened.

Stay tuned for further updates – and please stay off the roads whenever possible! Stay warm and stay safe!
