2024 HSVPOA Board Election Results ⋆ Hot Springs Village Gazette

On Friday, March 29, 2024, the Hot Springs Village Property Owners’ Association announced the winners of the 2024 Board Election. This is what the email notification from General Manager Kelly Hale said:

ELECTION RESULTS – 2024
The results have been received for the election of new Board of Directors members. The results were tabulated by TIE, the 3^rd-party company that manages our elections. More details and numbers will follow next week, but here are the overall results:

(As a reminder, there are 3 seats available, 2 for 3-year terms and 1 for a 1-year term.)

Doyle Baker – 4869 votes – 3-year term
Edsel Frye Jr. – 4843 votes – 3-year term
Mark Quinton – 4141 votes – 1-year term
Marcy Mermel – 3400 votes

NOTE:
POA BY-LAWS – ARTICLE VIII – Board of Directors Election Process
Section 7 – Any member, in good standing, shall have the right to request a recount of the ballots returned. That request must be made in writing within three (3) working days after the election date. The recount will be done by an outside firm selected by the GM, at the expense of the individual requesting the recount. An upfront fee must be paid by the requesting member to cover all costs to perform the recount at a charge to be determined by the chosen firm. If the recount changes the outcome of the election, the member will be reimbursed all fees paid.
