Hear ye, hear ye! Once again, HSV Voice will host a Hot Springs Village Board Candidate Forum; you will not want to miss this event!
When Jennifer Allen, Publisher of the Hot Springs Village Voice, was asked how long the Voice has hosted the HSV Board Candidate Forum, she replied that they have hosted the forum for at least a decade, but only when there are more candidates than open positions. Last year, there was no need for a candidate forum due to the number of candidates being the same as the number of open positions; all those running were seated.
Four candidates for three seats
We have three vacancies and four candidates in the 2024 election cycle. The 2024 HSV Voice Board Candidate Election Forum is your chance to meet these candidates and listen to their ideas on what they will bring to Hot Springs Village, if elected to the Board. The candidates are:
- Doyle Baker
- Edsel A. Frye Jr
- Marcy Mermel
- Mark Quinton

Be sure to exercise your right to vote
Hot Springs Village Property Owners have a voice in the affairs of the Village. All properties in good standing have one vote in deciding who the next leaders in the community will be. If two or more people own a property, each person does not get a vote; there is only one vote per property in good standing. If someone owns multiple properties, that person is allowed one vote for each property in good standing. Be sure to exercise your voting rights as it really matters who is elected to the Board. Be sure to listen carefully to all of the candidates.
Calendar for 2024 Board Candidate Election
The calendar for the election process is as follows:
- Friday, February 23, 2024 – Ballots will be mailed from a 3rd-party election organization to HSVPOA members in good standing.
- Wednesday, March 27, 2024, by 4:00 p.m. – deadline for returning ballots.
- Friday, March 29, 2024 – Announcement of election results by HSVPOA General Manager Kelly Hale,
